What We Do

Since our inception as a nonprofit trade association representing pilots and aircraft and business owners at Hartford Brainard Airport, in January 2022, Hartford Brainard Airport Association (HBAA) has led efforts to prevent closure of the airport, a vibrant and very busy general aviation airport located in the South Meadows region of Hartford, Connecticut. HBAA successfully led an effort to oppose an initiative in the legislature that would have ended growth and development at Brainard Airport.

Hartford Brainard Airport Association, Inc. is now recognized as THE organization that is the community voice for pilots, aircraft owners, business leaders, student pilots and flight schools and aircraft mechanics in training, all of whom depend on the activity that a general aviation airport has to offer. Too much would be lost if the airport were to close - loss to the general aviation community but more importantly, to the greater Hartford region and the State. Now, more than ever, HBAA’s goal is to:

“SPREAD THE WORD!”
